Enrico Castellani is regarded as one of Italy’s most important living artists. Nastro (1963-2016) is an exclusive wearable art piece made of 18kt yellow satin gold. This wearable sculpture relates to the artist’s poetical engagement with the manipulation of surfaces and light, which is evident here in the elegant bending of a single gold strip into an intriguing anthropomorphic shape. Nastro has also a special meaning in Castellani’s personal life, as it was first specially made in 1963 as a gift for his partner at the time, a symbol of love that she has kept with her ever since. The piece embodies a more unconventional aesthetic than Superficie, a jewellery collaboration between Cipriani and Castellani realised in 2012, which exhibits the artist’s characteristic relief surfaces as seen in the Castellani celebrated series of work Superficie Nera (1959).

Over the copper, you’ll find layers of silver, gold, glass forming new forms that tell a story or reveal a new beauty of nature.  Another originality of these pieces, is the presence of strong magnets that substitute the clasp or the needle. Rebecca Horn Medusa, 2011 22kt yellow gold and ammonites necklace with 18kt yellow gold handmade chain Unique This jewellery project came to life through collaboration between Rebecca Horn and Luisa del Valle, a noted goldsmith living in Spain. After months of research, del Valle sourced rare stones, shells and ammonites to develop the concept of movement and energy central to Horn’s work. Each piece is unique, hand-made and exquisite crafted by del Valle through the ancient Etruscan technique. As a result of their collaboration, this jewellery is a melange of antiquity and contemporaneity, timeless sculptural pieces in the form of rings, bracelets, and necklaces, which are deeply sensual. The spiral shape is present in all of these pieces of jewellery is one of Horn’s most favoured symbols and appears throughout her work.
