Collana Visnu
Alba Polenghi Lisca Collana Visnu, 1999 18kt satin gold and Sardinian coral pendant 9.7 x 4.7 cm Unique and signed Make it Yours ♥ ‘The artist jewel includes his/her own aesthetic – artistic research, deepening of his reflection, thus becoming a piece of art independent of the jewel intended as an ornament. For me, the jewel reflects the anticipated discourse in painting translated into a new language with different materials, the design of which comes from a design – shape – sign, a process that I follow from the beginning of the work in each piece.’ – Alba Polenghi Lisca

Fossil Necklace
Liliane Lijn Fossil Necklace, 2008 Electro-formed silver necklace with sterling band Edition of 8 + 1AP Evocative of her visual abstractions and material manipulations, Lijn’s concept of the primal earth are finely tuned with the geological sciences. As humanity uncovers the remnants of past creatures, the cycle of life and death are drawn into continuous momentum of renewal and vitality that Lijn echoes in her Fossil series. The way these necklaces engage so fittingly with the wearer evokes a very personal dialogue with Lijn’s motifs of the primal earth. In a very personal, meditative approach with these pieces, Lijn begins her pieces by moulding a clump of very hot wax to create these ornaments upon the necklace piece. The high temperature, granted this malleable nature of the wax to manipulate the mass and resemble these earthen elements. As technology has allowed her to work with a diverse range of materials in her sculptural work; instead of cast metal, electro-forming was used to carefully reflect the same earthen surface texture reinforced into these beautiful, elegant necklace pieces.
Carrying Memory ring and pendant
Chiharu Shiota Carrying Memory, 2018 18kt gold ring and pendant 4 x 10 cm Edition of 8 plus 2 AP’s Unique and signed Make it Yours ♥ Through the use of 18kt gold, Chiharu Shiota intricately intertwines and folds threads which gradually expand into the universe, becoming an extension of the body in space. The ring that can also be used as a pendant, has been conceived and perceived in the same way as Shiota’s thread installations in which she integrates meaningful object related to everyday life. The traces left behind by a human life are also conceptually explored in the ring/pendant, which is made entirely of golden webbed threads to symbolise the inside of a human body, connecting the wearer with the past human experiences that are left in the golden traces of Carrying Memory.
Nidi (Nests) Brooch & Pendant
Sissi Nidi (Nests), 2018 18kt gold threads with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds brooch & pendant 10.5 x 3.5 cm unique and signed With an artistic focus of anatomical study in relations to environmental elements, Sissi brings forth new ways to interpret wearable art, as the pieces transform into a second skin of light and gold for the wearer. For her wearable art pieces, Sissi interlaces the symbolism of the bird’s nest with the anatomy of the human body. The artist’s creations are hand-made and embellished, yet delicate like her sculptures. Carefully interwoven and welded with gold and silver threads, decorated with precious gemstones, Sissi’s contemplative process re-imagines a sculptural piece of art to work in tandem with the single wearer. It was pivotal to Sissi to be personally involved with the production of her wearable art pieces. Nests draws its symbolism from natural nests which provide a safe place. Nests can be displayed as a sculpture when taken off, and becomes a sculptural work of wearable art that unites with the individual when worn.

BONE NECKLACE WITH MOUTH
Meret Oppenheim Bone Necklace with Mouth, designed 1935–36, executed in 2014 18kt burnished gold necklace 21 x 22.5 x 44 cm edition 17 plus 3AP’s signed and numbered Gems and Ladders Edition Meret Oppenheim designed and commissioned the Bone necklace with mouth in 1935-36. The original brass prototype resides in a private collection and the necklace has been realised from cut gold sheet. This necklace shows Oppenheim’s ability to collage materials and subjects: at the centre of the defensive row of bones is a feminine mouth. Collage was the perfect Surrealism medium and this piece also illustrates one of the artist’s lasting themes: bones were featured in works throughout her career. Take, for example, her self-portrait from 1964 X-RAY of M.O.’s Skull (M.O. 1913-2000); the x-ray image suggests that the viewer might see the artist’s essence. Meret Oppenheim, however, teasingly pre-empted her own death in the work’s title and hid behind her earrings, rings and necklace – the metal objects that would endure for many decades thereafter.
