Exhibition Review: Hotel 87 and Other Relics at Elisabetta Cipriani Gallery
Elisabetta Cipriani Gallery in London played host to one of the season’s most thought-provoking jewellery exhibitions. Curated by luxury writer and curator Melanie Grant, ‘’Hotel 87 and Other Relics’’ (23–27 September 2025) coincided with the launch of her new Phaidon title, ‘’The Jewelry Book’’. The show drew collectors, connoisseurs, and leading creatives together for an exploration of jewellery as a vessel for memory, symbolism, and storytelling.
The Jewelry Book, curated by Melanie Grant and published by Phaidon, brings together 300 influential voices in the world of jewellery — from heritage houses to groundbreaking contemporary makers. This new volume was recently featured in The New York Times, underscoring its cultural impact and global reach.
Several artists represented by Elisabetta Cipriani Gallery are proudly included in the book. Their presence highlights the gallery's continued role in championing jewellery as wearable art, as well as its support of innovative material practices and artistic vision.
