The Pommes de Jong series was born in 2012 from Jaqueline de Jong’s need for self-expression and interest in transforming a humble object into a precious one. The potatoes and their sprouts are dried slowly by the artist over a period of two years and are submerged in a bath of platinum or gold becoming unique pieces of jewellery.
